The controversy surrounding the Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal continues to grow following fresh revelations.

According to documents published by Le Monde, five official reports describe a chaotic sequence during the match, including a 12-minute interruption that reportedly influenced the outcome.

The general coordinator of the final, Khaled Lemkecher, is said to have reported that several Senegalese players temporarily left the pitch and returned to the dressing room. During that period, Sadio Mané allegedly remained on the field.

Security reports also point to crowd disturbances and raise concerns about possible pressure on match officials, particularly regarding disciplinary decisions that could have affected Senegalese players.

These findings, reportedly compiled by neutral officials from different African countries, add a new layer to an already sensitive case. Morocco’s football authorities have initiated legal proceedings, seeking clarity and accountability in what is becoming one of the most debated AFCON finals in recent years.
