Guinean President Mamadi Doumbouya has dismissed two members of his government, both considered close to the head of state. The decision was announced on national television late Friday through two presidential decrees. The two officials have been removed from their positions with immediate effect. No official explanation has so far been given for their dismissal.

The move comes as Guinea continues to reorganize its state institutions and implement the authorities’ political agenda. The government has not yet indicated whether new officials will be appointed to replace them. Further details are expected to emerge from the presidential decrees and any subsequent government announcements.
